A Decor Makeover.

It’s time for another project highlight! The highest honor we are given as an interior design team is to be trusted with a client’s home. We love the opportunity of bringing quality design and the unique needs and tastes of the client together. And more than that, we find ourselves becoming even better friends when invited to work in your homes, which is one of our favorite parts! So thank you to all of our past and future interior design clients. We love you all!

The lovely client we are highlighting today is a total sweetheart.  She’s been shopping with LJ for years now, and we just love her happy personality each time we get to see her.  LJ has done several decor projects in her home over the years, starting with her foyer, transforming the kitchen, and finishing with her basement. She loves warm and casual tones, so that has influenced our approach to her home and kept everything congruent as we moved from room to room. She is always up for something out of the box and we love that!

We fell in love with this kitchen by the end of the process! We started with the vintage reproduction island and planned the rest of the design around that. The cabinets are a matte black with a slight rub through, and they turned out just right. It’s all in the details! There is so much subtle interest in this kitchen, and it really draws you in. The backsplash tile finished things off and now she’s ready to entertain!

In the basement TV area, we went with espresso cabinetry, which provided the framework for the whole space. We carried those warm and comforting wood tones from the cabinet area to the wood accent wall, which is a total showstopper. Finally, we topped it off with LJ original iron shelving. We are in LOVE.

Now, to the foyer area. We layered vintage shutters above a Louisa Jane original console table. With a few fun lamps added and some décor to bring in the character and interest, the end result was so fun. “Warm and casual” was definitely achieved in this space. It’s one of those rooms we kind of wanted to move into when we finished!

We loved this entire project so much, and the photography by Danielle Stewart was the finishing touch. Thanks so much for letting us work in your home, friend! The LJ team is thankful to know you.
