A Double Suite Remodel.

A Dreamy Master and Guest Suite…that you may just want to move in to.

This remodel project had Janet super excited from the beginning, and now that it’s done, she wants to move in herself! The property itself is gorgeous, which provides a fabulous setting for the home! And now, with its dreamy master suite and guest suite, it’s the kind of place you want to be.

Before

At the beginning of the remodel process with this awesome client, we started with goals for each area.  For the guest bathroom, we wanted a shower and general updates in the bathroom.  For the master bathroom, it was more of the same: a larger shower, a soaking tub, closet built-ins and then some. In both bedrooms, it was updates on everything from flooring, to furniture, to decor.  Janet has worked with this couple for several years now on various projects, and they are two of the most genuine and kind people she’s ever met. She can’t say enough good things about them, and the entire team feels the same!

After

This particular project had a lot of details and layers, but it was so much fun to pull it all together and find just the right things for each setting.  Janet wanted to update both spaces, but still incorporate the general feel of the rest of the home, as some key aspects weren’t changing.  The problem with remodeling is that it’s really hard to hit the “stop” button when you start updating one space – sometimes the rest of the home may give you the impression of being tired and sad, even when it’s not.  So, one of Janet’s goals in a remodel project is to make the new blend with the old if the old doesn’t need to change. This is much easier said than done, but paint and some decor can make a huge difference without having to re-invent the wheel.  We had some of both in this project! The man of the house may be rolling his eyes at the moment if reading this (lol), but we pulled it off!  Some of our favorite features are the tile cladding behind the soaking tub in the master, the gorgeous floor mirror, and the poster bed.  And let’s not forget all the colors! The soft, serene greens, blues, and beiges of this home are just perfect.

We can’t wait for the next one!  Stay tuned….
