Independence Day.

YOU GUYS. It’s already the 4th of July.

So this is us, wishing all of you the happiest of Independence Days. Is it just us, or is this like one of the best Holidays ever? Sparklers, fireworks, red-white-blue everything, popsicles, flip-flops, sunshine….bugs. everywhere.

We will be closed on the 4th, and we hope you will be with your loved ones as well – celebrating our country. Let’s keep our great United States of America in our prayers this week and always. Our Country is no where near the state it used to be back in 1776, and we can only pray and do our part in this little corner of the Country, to bring it back to where it once was.

But because we are Louisa Jane, we have a couple fun craft ideas to make your home festive! Let’s go!

  1. No-Sew Bandana Seat Cushions – soften your outdoor swings and other seats with these fun cushions! Sandwich a cushion between two bandanas, then join each corner together with a rubber band and a thin ribbon.
  2. Patriotic Flower Pot – Buy a ceramic terracotta flower pot, some acrylic paint, and go to work. These pots are fun all of July, and get them out for Memorial Day as well! Of course, make sure you plant red, white, and blue flowers in them.
  3. Mason Jar American Flag Centerpieces – Hosting a party? Get some mason jars out, and put them into sets of 3. The first jar in the set of three, paint it blue with white stars, the next two paint red and white stripes. Put them side by side, and ta-da, you have a flag! These are lovely in the middle of the table with sparklers, pom-poms, flowers, or you can use them to hold silverware.

Again, we hope everyone has a blessed Holiday weekend this upcoming week, and if you decide to do any of these craft ideas, share them and let us see your lovely work.
