Urban Farmgirl Market.

First off, we would go back in a heartbeat.

Our LJ crew left at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning to drive up to Rockford area for an AMAZING market, known as the Urban Farmgirl Market. Most of us saw 4:00 AM as we dashed around our homes getting dressed, putting socks and shoes on, eating a granola bar and brewing some coffee, and ensuring our wallets were packed with cash before the 2 and 1/2 hour drive.

We got into Rockford a bit early to be at the gate before the Market opened. The excitement was evident as the line continued to grow and we were amazed at the amount of people that were all waiting along with us. When the Market opened, it was totally worth the wait. From amazing vintage found vendors to delicious food trucks, we basically just walked around the Market with our mouths gaping open. Fresh-grown flowers, cotton candy, plants, signs, boutiques, ice cream, and the list goes on and on. We also loved shopping at Urban Farmgirl. Perhaps we did not do the best of planning, though, because halfway through the day we realized we had only one vehicle to fit everything into! We had snagged some rugs, vintage stools, wall baskets, a cart(for all our stuff), vintage candlesticks, jewelry, leather bags, antlers and baskets, and a vintage cooler by this time. It worked out though, and we did squeeze everything into the truck, and then considered going back for more!

We were done before the event was over, and decided to explore the town a little before heading home. There was another little vintage shop, as well as a Mexican market, and we bought some produce and some snacks for the drive home. The verdict? We are definitely going back next year, purchasing the early bird tickets, and bringing a trailer.
